I must check in on this Spoon business. Do they do ragtime or polka? *is old*

Also your comment to the Chairman made me giggle.

It was so great, I'm still cruising on that post-concert high.

Totally. It's not the tall people who are there before me. I mean, if you're a superfan who happens to be super tall, it's not fair for me to demand you stand at the back or side if you show up early. But if you're squeezing in front of me (and I am aware of the Gap you speak of and consequently leave no room in front of me, which unfortunately stops NOBODY) I am going to be pissed if you're much taller than me, which is not hard to do, since I'm fairly average in height.

I work with two guys who are 6'7" and know another guy who is 6'8". Two of them are concertgoers and abide by the tall-dude rules and stand to the side. All three are sports fans who frequently slouch in their seats for fear of constantly being in the way. Luckily, stadium seating has helped this issue. The guy who was behind me had to be at LEAST 6'6". It seems like the super-tall have come to terms with their height being an issue.

Sounds like a fantastic time! I'll definitely have to check them out, as I haven't yet...shame on me, I know!

Sidenote: Arcade Fire made a cameo at the Bruce Springsteen concert in Ottawa. THAT would have been interesting...all those blue collar American wannabes probably going "now what in the HELL is THAT??"

*dies* Man, what I would not have given to see them in concert. I fell in love with them after hearing "I Turn My Camera On". And they were amazing as the soundtrack to Stranger Than Fiction. LOVE.

Booo about the rude tall guys, though.
