The Chairman and my Lucy should get together and chew ornaments together. I've had to chase her off the table twice today, found an ornament on the bathroom floor and expect to find tinsel peeking from the corner of her mouth when I get back tonight.
The news about Belzer is awesome. We're now caught up and eagerly awaiting the debut of season 5. We have a supplier who will give us a re-up on the package weekly (we don't have HBO).
By the way, E got the mixes yesterday, but she hasn't had a chance to listen to them yet. I'll make sure she posts the tracklisting and her thoughts once she's had a chance to give it a few listens.
The end result is a dying medium which will never recover from the blows it is taking, especially if it's not allowed to invest in capital to better itself.
Wordy McWord on that. You sound like a fellow bitter journalista, maybe? At any rate, spot on, the whole post.
And don't forget the fun part about how the newspaper industry is also tanking because people are used to getting their news for free online. So newspapers that want the lower production costs of publishing online have to clot up their websites with sneaky ads because they can't sell online subscriptions. Problem being, most of the sites that are handing out free news like party favors are getting their sources from the AP. Meaning, paid newspaper reporters. Who are getting shafted by their own work being given away elsewhere. It kind of makes my head spin.
