The wheel of time turns, then stops

Robert Jordan passed away yesterday due to illness. His blog is currently not working due to traffic for the citation, but apparently his long battle with disease got the best of him.

Although I never really read his works, he left a great legacy behind him. Eleven books, all long, and regardless of whether you liked his particular style, it's amazing that he accomplished all that he did.

A moment of silence for him.

A wind stops blowing from the mountains... sguth1982 September 18 2007, 02:24:10 UTC
Y'know... the sad thing is, the first I heard of this was in the webcomic Something Positive... I thought "that would just be terrible, how would I find out what happens to Perrin and Rand and Mat... but it's a webcomic, they're probably just having a little fun."

And then I see it on TWO of my friends blogs, and my heart breaks just a little more...

Goddamn it. You know what this reminds me of? We still need to write our letter(s) to Ursula K. Le Guin...
