I still think it's a great idea... although we may need to splash in a little nihilism...

What are the chances of being able to work in some surrealism?

By Charles Stross right? About the robots after humanity who ape the long dead human culture?

I've heard about it, but I haven't read it. The cover keeps turning me off the book.

Well, that's unfair to the book. Compare the British cover.

I thought it was good. The character *is* a sexbot and there is some sex, but nothing I thought was too graphic or pointlessly titillating. Possibly silly in some cases, but even that makes sense when we're told the humans never managed to build full AI from scratch, so all the robots are based to various degrees off human neural structures. Various other bizarro things about the culture eventually make sense in context as well.
