I've heard about it, but I haven't read it. The cover keeps turning me off the book.

I thought it was good. The character *is* a sexbot and there is some sex, but nothing I thought was too graphic or pointlessly titillating. Possibly silly in some cases, but even that makes sense when we're told the humans never managed to build full AI from scratch, so all the robots are based to various degrees off human neural structures. Various other bizarro things about the culture eventually make sense in context as well.
