Why quit the job? Who does it look bad to, the kidling or the social services folks?

And you don't need to be normal to be a good role model... but being stable helps. Some of my favorite role models were weirdos managing to live good lives, it proves its possible.

She'll have a long way to go and you aren't the only factor, but you can help boost her in a good direction. From our short meeting at EN, I think you'll do good for her. Best of luck.

Stick with the cool job as long as you can afford to. You'll have enough stress in changing your home life without changing your work life too.
