Hagrid's mother...

Dec 15, 2005 18:17

I am listening to Goblet of Fire during my commute. I know I've mentioned this before, but really... Hagrid's parents. I still just can't... understand.

I have to wonder if J.K. Rowling was able to write that history with a straight face.

There's a short story by Charles Bukowski entitled ( see cut for title )

I've tried my best not to dwell on it. Ewwww! Engorgement charm or not, EWWWWWW!

JKR must have had a huge laugh when she wrote it :D.

What's even weirder is when Hagrid asks Madam Maxime, "Was it yer mum or yer dad" (not an exact quote). If Madam Maxime had the reverse situation, well... her mother would have died! I mean...

Oh, EW. And ouch!

Although I guess the engorgement charm might've worked in that case, as well.
