Holy shit, I can't believe that I actually remember my login for this. I really could have sworn that I made a post here sometime in March or so. At this point though, this journal is being kept alive entirely for my own personal satisfaction. So anyone who is not living under a rock has by now heard about the mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, CT. At least 28 people have died as a result of this event, 20 of them children as young as 5 ( Read more... )

When I was younger I can recall my father re-telling the stories of how my parents met and of things that went on during their short courtship. One of things he had said was that when he met my mother, all the bad things in his life made sense. I thought this was a sweet thing to say, but never truly grasped the meaning. Sober. Feeling better. Thinking rationally now.

Aforementioned thoughts are now locked. They are still relevant, but I can sort them sanely now.

So far today has started out much better than yesterday. I plan to keep it that way.
