Who says that drinking needs to be involved? To me, a partner or two in crime as company is all that is needed. It could be along the lines of trying a new extreme sport (I once went hang-gliding, and I had to do it rather spontaneously or else I wouldn't do it, and no alcohol was ever involved), taking some kind of fun class (athletic, educational, or artsy), or going to some kind of event you normally wouldnt do. Sometimes the extra risk does make it enjoyable, but like everything, within reason (sounds like an oxymoron as I write this ( ... )

Well, they were talking specifically about adventures of the bar/nightclub/scandalous variety, but adventures in general are worth looking at for sure. Finding good company for such adventures is probably the hard part. But when it comes to a class for instance, you don't really need to bring someone. I've been seriously thinking about a cooking class, considering how little I know about it. Travel is high up on the list too. Probably no death-defying-stunt-type adventures for me though.
