I've been in novice Rally classes with Flyer since last spring, when I finally felt like I could be on my feet enough to attempt training again. Flyer already had obedience titles, but after a 3 year lay-off from training, she had random bouts of amnesia. Flyer really is a good girl. I love my other dogs, but Flyer is THE dog of my lifetime, I think. I wish I could clone her!

I stay pretty quiet unless I have something to celebrate, like President Obama, or Flyer being back in form. I knew how good it felt to really be working together from back in her former obedience career, but I hadn't experienced it this go-round till last night. Our teacher even commented on how sharp she looked in the ring.

I really missed doing obedience after my stroke, and I'm glad to be back at it. Now if I can get Penny and Giddy to work with me...Sunny probably never will, sadly. Too much emotional damage done to her by her former family. She's come a long way, but I don't think she'll ever be anything near a "normal" Golden.
