Never getting anything done now...

How did I ever live without Tivo before and why did it take me so long to get it? What's wrong with me?

Now, if I could only find a Wii, my life would be complete. Ok, my life is fine, it's those poor kids of mine whose sanity is in question. I haven't participated in a Christmas toy rush like this since the Furby.

I don't know, what IS wrong with you?! :) Really, isn't it amazing? It just... works.

Ouch, trying to find a Wii for kids. That's just ouch.

We started out with something called "DISHplayer" which was DISH networks version and was programmed by Microsoft. Not surprisingly, it crashed all the time and had tons of bugs. But it got us hooked.

We now have a DirecTV TIVO which they don't make anymore. They also don't update it, so it's like a tivo from I think 4 years ago? But it does the basics.

I can't imagine living without some kind of DVR. It just changes how you watch everything. And we end up watching a lot BETTER stuff rather than "whatever crap is on."

Sean just got a shipment in at work last week. It sold out in two days. There may or may not be a shipment going back out to various stores before Christmas. We're not sure.

From what I gather, two of the four Nintendo factories in Japan burned down, which is why they haven't made as many as they originally thought.

I'm hearing that stores are stockpiling them for the 17th. It could be a rumor, but I'll be trying on Sunday morning, early, just in case.

Random note: I believe our local Best Buy has some in stock. People around here are waiting for the PS3 or something. I have also heard the Wii does not work very well. However, if you like, I can see if our Best Buy has one and get it shipped to you.

Up here, you wont find a Wii or PS3 until after Chirstmas sometime. Always, always, always, preorder new systems months and months and months ahead of time.

Good luck tho, it sounds like there might be a few floating around in the US, makes me wonder if I need to go on a road trip!

We actually just decided to look for one last week. You wouldn't believe how many PS3 systems I've seen *in stock* here though. A Wii, forget about it! Bleh. =P

Thanks anyway, but I'd be putting it on a best buy credit card. Not the wisest idea, I know, but we'd have no other way to pay for it. After Christmas (when it looks like we'll be getting it anyway) we'll just pay cash for the thing. I'm thinking the kids are going to get an IOU for Christmas. =)
