This is why you should care about gay marriage!
So this whole Massachusetts constitutional amendment thing has really kicked up the issue of gay marriage. It's a huge issue, and this is its time. The next couple years will probably decide for at least our lifetimes how gay marriage will be treated in the US. My weekend
So, my sister stayed with us this weekend. (Like, in my apartment on an air mattress in the living room)
And we had multiple incarnations of her engagement party. One, 'the parents meet each other' gathering, and one 'our whole extended family is there, plus it's my father's birthday' gathering.
