On Saturday, I went to the Winners' Recital for a competition that I placed in. I only had to play one piece, and I didn't play my hard piece (Liszt's Funerailles), so my performance wasn't a big deal. Before Spring Break, our school always has Artsfest, which is 2 days completely dedicated to celebrating art, meaning no classes (yay!). It culminates in the Artsfest Gala, staged at the recital hall in Benaroya. A bunch of performing arts classes perform in the Gala, along with some individual performances. I know a couple 5-year-olds whose houses my family occasionally visits for parties. Yesterday, we did just that, and it struck me how much they loved to throw objects at people (pun not intended). So Friday night was the Pearl Jam concert, which was a great show. I've never seen Pearl Jam live before, so I enjoyed it very much. Heart and the Presidents also played, although I'm not familiar with either of them.
