But don't imagine she'd welcome being touched. She wants to be out here with her humans, but the second he reached out to touch her nose, she pulled

Our female is very much this way. When she wants to be petted, you will pet her. If she doesn't want to be petted, you will not. The male, on the other hand, is his usual affection-loving self. He doesn't care when, how, or why; petting is always a good thing.

So cute how they can be so different! Makes me wonder what they'll be like when the species is fully domesticated. I'm pretty sure that most of their bizarre weirdness is just the effect of being only halfway domesticated.
