Ch 8. Fear I walked out the bathroom and mentally kicked myself for wasting my breath. Nothing’s going to change. Asagi will always be with Toshiya and I’ll always be the one being tortured by their disgusting public display of affection. Perhaps I should consider quitting.
As I went back to my desk, I thought about Asagi’s suggestion. I sighed softly and started gathering my things, before heading toward the elevator. I glanced down and felt around my keys, then accidently bumped into someone, dropping my keys.
“Gomen nasai,” I said, picking them up and looking up to see who it was.
“Ah, no, no…I’m sorry,” the other person said.
It was him.
I stood up and began to walk, until he spoke.
“Are you feeling alright? Asagi-san told me you were having some problems. If there’s anything I can do, just-“
“Don’t worry about it. There’s nothing you can do,” I said a bitterly, walking off.
“I was just trying to help,” Toshiya said softly.
“If you want to help, then leave me alone!”
My steps were soon stopped by someone’s hand on my shoulder, turning me around gently. He looked at me softly and said, “I don’t know what’s going on with you, but it doesn’t give you an excuse to be rude to me.”
I stepped away from him and gave a little glare. “If you want to help, then break up with Asagi-san,” I said seriously.
“What?”
“I’m tired of you two being together. You’re probably not even his type.”
“Karyu-san, I…we’ve…how could you say that?” he asked with a slightly hurt tone.
“Because ever since we slept together, I knew there was a connection.”
“Slept with…” he paused for a moment.
“Hey, Toshi-“ Asagi began to say as he approached us, then looked at me. “Oh, Karyu-san, you’re taking my advice.”
“Yeah…” I said and resumed heading toward the elevator. I glanced back for a moment and my eyes blinked a bit at the sight of Toshiya slapping Asagi. Maybe I should’ve kept my mouth shut.
