I worked on the stays again today. I have fabric failures all over the place and now I'm regretting the very narrow wares I used to bind the stays. It would have been at least annother couple layers before I had to think about re- working.

Here are two fabric combinations for a 18th century style *costume*, not for any sort of historical anything. I plan on stays but no fussy hand sewing for a concert that's coming later this month and possibly for haloween costume. So let me borrow your eyes for color combinations. ( Two likely suspects )
