These are all so beautiful! Mello/Near is adorable in my opinion, but you made them less cute and more... real, maybe. Either way, whatever you did, I liked it! XP

Number 5 is my favorite, I'd say, just because it's so wonderfully descriptive. Even though the rest of them are too... But Mello has a special lil place in my heart. ^_^

I must admit, I also love the "sin and madness... cottonball" line. XDD I surprisingly never though about it, but he really does look like a cotton ball!!

...In a cute, calculating, my-brain-can-eat-you-alive sort of way.

I, too, love the sin/madness/cottonball line!
And, really, everything about this is great. You have a real talent for describing things. It kind of feels like a beautiful summary of the perfect Mello/Near fic. And it's so sad that they could never be togther.

I think I also found your website recently, and so far I've only read Putting the damage on (damn university taking up all of my time), and I loved it.

(Haha, I feel slightly silly for commenting on such an old fic, but I'm correcting my non-commenting behaviour)

lol, Near referring to Mello as his "better half"... Maybe i like it more than "cottonball" because it reminds me of the Keith Urban song "you're my better half"

But "dresses like sin" is great too

OMG, I swear, throughout the entire fic I was telling myself not to cry and I didn't, but then I read the line

Mello wouldn't have known what to do if he had become number one anyways, much less how to share first place with his rival.

which made me tear but it wasn't until:

He's sad, and he's certain this is what it feels like to miss someone.

that the flood began. I'm not an emotional person, (usually) but this really got to me. Maybe it was the way their relationship was doomed from the beginning..Anyway, great writting. I wish you'd write more, either Mello/Matt or Mello/Near, hell I'd be find with Near/Matt, well no, not really. Thanks for such a great piece!

I love it. Yes, it´s me again, that girl who write you a review a little long once, asking you if will you let her translate "Unwritten".I Don´t know how much time has passed since then, but I continue with that proyect. In fact, if you feel curiosity for knowing how much I have advanced: six pages in Word. If you wants check out, I hope link works. In my last commentary I spoke too much of me myself. I am in the habit of do it. I already said before: I do not translate if I don´t think is a really good fic, in "Unwritten" your background for Matt is very elaborated (I am reading Distant Sun too *-* and is great, as always u_uU) and I hate that fandom in Spanish gets lost of it. Between other motives. I alternate that works of the longest translation with ones shoots. I was looking a good one of Mello/Near, short and so canon as it possible. I fell by accident (again...o.ó ;_; <3 *-*) in your LJ.

Hello again! And sure, feel free to translate this one. I wish I spoke and wrote better Spanish so I could write fic in both languages; there seems to be a fairly large Spanish fandom for Death Note. More than I've seen in any of my previous fandoms. And yes, you can post it to the Spanish Death Note comm. =) Is is all right if I link to it from this post, so that people can read it Spanish if they want?
