The day after

I forgot to add this picture...we went to the beach yesterday afternoon, as it was 70, yes. SEVENTY DEGREES on the a oregon coast. As you can see, and so crowded...not. It was wonderful, and the dogs had as wonderful relaxing time as we did. Here is Tru, trying his best to imitate Mia's Vic, with a little help from the Biz.

That is a fun story. :-) I bet the blanket made her feel like you were with her.

The beach is such a healing place. Mom and I spent a weekend at Bandon after my Dad died, it was great. I'm glad you had the perfect weather to reflect, exhale deeply and prepare to get back to your life.

Great story and it'll be a good memory.

When you feel just as much relief as sadness at someone's passing it's always so incredibly difficult to process, keep going to the beach and getting some rays, hugs to you.

My son had a Winnie the poo blanket that before his accident he would not be separated from. I remember one time he left it at the sitters and made such a fuss at bedtime that I had to drive back there late at night to get it. Lol. After his accident I made sure it went everywhere with him, every hospital, every rehab facility, when he died everyone assumed I'd keep it. But I put it in his casket with him. Wouldn't have felt right for him to not have the blanket. Anyway your story reminded me of that.
