I have the utmost dislike for butterflies fluttering in my stomach.
I see myself ripping their delicate wings off their backs and placing them in between pages of books I have yet to read

to forget,

but
I have grown fond of it,

Consider yourself lucky.

I like the night. Something should be said for the day, but the night just seems more intimate, more hushed and maybe secretive, such as secrets shared through a cloth curtain. Even the animals move around in silence, revered silence, when they must move before the first break of dawn.

I think the titles where prompts I found somewhere, but...I might be wrong.

We are standing on the brink. So many whirlwinds and hurricanes of thoughts, words, deeds, music, memories, loved ones, and friends swing past us as we stand there waiting for our minds to acclimate and make sense of what is going on around us. Yes, we are about to graduate.
 

I’m still unsure of how we ended up on the floor, covered in various bruises and…is that a bite mark on your arm? Did I do that? The last thing I can remember clearly, the last thing before blurs of colors and spots of pain, was you saying “I disagree.”

 “Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. Call me, um, it’s raining.” That was exactly how one of the only happy voicemails went. And it couldn’t have made him happier. Months later he left the exact same one to her. And he knew that she’d remember, too, and smile.

She saw him at the end of the hallway almost as soon as she entered it. The smile on her face got even bigger when she saw that he had a Diet Coke for her. She knew she’d never be able to find that feeling had it been anyone else.
