I must say, that I can relate in a way. Andy's brother, Paul, is the black sheep of the family. He was always in trouble, did drugs, and had a drinking problem. His DUI was the final straw. But despite no longer having a license, he still drank and smoked pot.
When Andy was in the hospital it woke Paul up in a sense. He is now trying to quite smoking and no longer does pot. He has also given up drinking. He now has his license back and has bought a house.
It is a shame your brother did not see this when you were in the hospital. I hope what time he spends in jail will be a wake up call.
Gosh Kelly, I'm sorry to hear about this. I know how happy you have been ever since he has come back into your life. It's really unfortunate that some people really get stuck in a rut and can't find a way to get themselves out. That's a very frustrating situation for the people who care your brother, you know? I was so hoping that things were looking up for him. His girlfriend sounds very sweet and I hope he knows what a good family and girlfriend he has. Prayers are most certainly on the way for everyone involved.
