My favorite professor and mentor from college once told me that he really enjoys the transitory nature of theatre as an art form. The idea that you can put something up that is beautiful and enjoyable, but that it will eventually be gone and will never be back in quite the same way. I was listening to a radio report from the Libby trial. They were saying that the defense had questioned potential jurors about Vice-President Cheney in some way, as though he might actually be called as a witness.
