i just read my favorite poem for the first time in months. Everytime i finish it i realize that i've held my breath, in anticipation, waiting for that same ending i love so much. today at a hallmark store i saw a childrens book about having good self-esteem. i picked it up and read a couple pages, then slammed it shut and put it back on the shelf.

maybe i should go back and buy it.
