So, I decided I need to go ahead and get my NYS Learners Permit ASAP, which is cool. OK, problems: It costs up to $50 to take get a Learners Permit in NY, where as it cost me $13 in Oregon. What I think I need to do is get a Non-driver ID to suffice me until I get a Learners Permit, as I have to make an appointment to get a learners permit ( Read more... )

Yeah, so I went to the bank yesterday to open a checking account at HSBC, only I couldn't. Turns out you need two pieces of government issued ID in order to open an account if you have an out-of-state ID.
