Jules is moving back to France because of his dad's illness. Whether he's staying for good, coming back when his dad can travel, or anything else, I don't know.

I grew up in the days before the Internet, and at least these days you can be closer to him electronically. So perhaps that will help make the distance seem less daunting! I admire your concern for his dad and your faith in your friendship! :)
