I've spent a few minutes trying to catch up on my Friends page.  I haven't updated in forever because we've been swamped at work, but I have a few minutes and needed a break!

The fog off the water is so thick this morning that I can't see outside my window.  I don't think I could see my hand if I cracked my window open and put my hand outside. It's like being in the middle of a giant cottonball.

Thanks for the kind comments and thoughts about my mom. She just called, and said her heart is fine. Strangely, the sensation wasn't caused by acid reflux either, so they're not sure what is causing it. But at least it wasn't her heart!!

Weekend before last, my mom woke up with chest pains.  She laid awake wondering whether to go to the hospital.  She decided not to go, but I made her promise to go if it happened again.

She just called me and said that it happened again last night and she STILL didn't go to the hospital!  She did at least go to the doctor this morning.  He said ( Read more... )

Right now, heaven would be laying on my couch with a big soft blanket and my dog, watching a cheesy movie on Lifetime.  I would drink orange juice and eat chicken-mushroom flavored ramen noodles, both of which I crave when I am sick.  But I've used most of my sick hours going on doctor's visits with my husband, so I'm gonna stick it out here today ( Read more... )

I had to call my boss on his cell earlier to ask him a question and I got the distinct impression that he was with someone, if you know what I mean.  He couldn't talk and something in his voice gave him away - why would you even answer your phone though?

So my husband has been sleeping on the couch for about six weeks.  This is due to a bad back and a horrible tooth problem (he'd sleep with his mouth on a heating pad).  He had to wait over a month for an appointment with an oral surgeon.  Finally, he got several teeth cut out last week and I thought things might go back to normal.

Maybe it's because I've had too much coffee, but I cracked up when I opened a letter from another law firm and saw this letterhead:
