My dad just got in a car wreck. Go figure. The air bags didn't go off, so it may not be totalled. He lost control of his truck on I-70 E (at the N. split, if anyone knows where that is--downtown area) and hit a semi. He's not hurt. Of course the semi isn't hurt ( Read more... )

lol, that ole I-70 sure can getcha sometimes. downtown isn't usually the place one would expect to lose control of ones vehicle though...sounds like the type of talent i might have!

btw, i did a vocal audition at butler today and Cathy was my accompanist(sp). she's realllly good...makes the singers job easy. dangit though...i did my first song like the best i'ld ever sang it, and the 2nd song was going great too...man, i thought i had it in the bag untill i landed on the very last, highest, longest note. then my stupid voice had to do one of those donkey-type, puberty-stage cracks right there at the worst time ever! rawr...have to give em credit though..if i were one of those judges i would have been rolling on the floor laughing. but other than that it was great, and butler is really lookin like the place for me i'ld say. but hey, what are your thoughts on having to go? good, bad, otherwise?

We've all had those cracks in singing. ^_^ Sometimes, when I'm not supporting well enough, my voice just cuts out. Like, no sound comes out, right in the middle of a note. I'd be willing to bet those judges saw far worse that day, anyway (trust me-- I hear stories).

I'm excited to be w/ artsy people of my kind. ^_^ By the same token, though, I'm not bursting to get out of high school. I'm trying to appreciate my friends and my lack of responsibilities for the moment. I'm very excited about living on-campus, though.
