people like to keep charity cases alive so they can see some example of charity, of human kindness, in their daily life. while most people don't really care about anything outside themselves, most people can't deal with thinking of themselves as anything less than an upright, moral human being ( Read more... )

Interesting... You're one of my Random LiveJournal Attacks of the day, and I'm glad that I stumbled on your journal. You seem very... well, you're interesting and you seem unique, which I love in a person. I think I'm gonna have to add you as a friend... doesn't mean you have to add me by any means, but I am going to add you. Well, though I'm sure it'd be fine as a comment, I'd prefer to e-mail it to you. I know it's more convienent for you to read it on your LiveJournal, and not have to deal with downloading attachments, but... I dunno... I don't think I'm ready to have it open to the whole world, you know? I'd probably wanna tweak it a bit so that it isn't focused just on my city.
