When it comes to the baby, I am Mommy and J is Mama. Just makes sense to assign it that way, since in Chinese, 'mother' is 'ma ma.' In sign language, I am ASL-mother and J is Taiwan Sign Language-mother (index finger and pinkie up with index touching side of chin; move hand away from chin and put index down so only pinkie remains up). My awesome friend from college made this video as a challenge for himself. I love how brave it is! I don't think I could ever do this. I once had to break a social rule as an assignment for a social psychology course, so I went to a Whole Foods and crawled down the aisle (so as not to block the view of people looking at items on the shelves).
