Thinking of playing an OC in addition to the character app I submitted earlier today. Do OCs use the same app and just type in "original" or something where the fandom would normally go?
Also, hypothetical situation (probably won't do this, but I am an inquisitive little Tonberry): say I have another character in another RP comm that I want to play here. Could I use the same journal and just f-lock everything for Acairnia separate from the other RP? Does it even work that way? *Just recently started f-locking personal journal*
Like I said, I mostly likely won't do that because the characters I've submitted for both Acairnia and the other RP I aim to join are too similar (I'm type-casting myself as a double-crossing bastard-mun...8/)
Yes, the Originals use the same application format, but please put ORIGINAL CHARACTER in the subject line and you may use N/A for the fandom slot.
(Inquisitiveness is never discouraged; it should indeed be seeded and watered!) While we do recommend that muns friends-lock their rp journals, this is not required, but as for using the same journal for two journal-based rp's, we would not really recommend the practice. If the other rp is community based, of course that would be fine, since characters post in the community itself.
Thank you for your speedy reply! Y'all are officially on my Best Mods Ever list. :]
I figured that managing two RPs on one account (the other one isn't community based either) would be a bad idea, but I just wanted to hear a more informed opinion.
You may use the current date, if you wish. We have not yet agreed upon a time schedule that will work, due to the night and day cycles. For the time being, feel free to use whatever date you open the log as the its date.
Is there any music on the island? Like radio channels or anything? And basic cable or maybe a DVD store? Something for entertainment while the sun's still out besides swimming and shopping?
The music and DVD's/movies/ect. we will leave to your discretion. As for "cable television", more than likely not. For the reason that we have characters taken from real T.V. shows.
You may be non-specific as to what your muses watch on the tube, just be reasonable when it comes to channels and the like. The Commons does have muzak, of a sort, calypso and island music that plays on speakers on the front of the shops.
The PDA's can also broadcast music, as well.
We might come up with a more iron-clad system for music and entertainment, but for now, run with this and we'll see how it goes.
Sorry for the trouble, but I have a question: What's the deal with backlogging? Say, if the night notice was already up, would we still be able to log for the previous day?
The only medicines available on the island are aspirin and ibuprofen. Basically, garden variety painkillers. The shops will have a few bottles for "sale", and each cabin will have one replenished first aid kit, but as far as healing items go, that's about all.
If the character indeed has a morphine stash when they arrive, then the potency would remain the same, as these do not have any magical properties and the island cannot dampen them.
We will ask, however, that whatever dosages characters arrive with remain small.

Does the healing power of medicine go down, too? Like Vicodin, morphine, etc.

What about items brought with them until supply runs out? Is their efficiency the same?
