The ride on the Hogwarts Express was rather interesting this year. Terry's sister Sarah was with us in our compartment for some time. She certainly knows how to entertain herself; most of the time she sat as far as she could from us, talking to herself. Or perhaps her Hogwarts letter and Terry's socks. When she caught me watching her, she would ( Read more... )

Terry's sister is rather odd, isn't she? Glad she didn't get sorted into Ravenclaw.

I find her whimsical personality amusing. I did not expect Ravenclaw, but Slytherin? Do you suppose she is a bit evil?

I don't believe evil is actually the house requirement.

I do like the monkey, by the way. I remember reading those books when I was small.

What is it then, stupidity? Though I doubt it, I do not think a member of Terry's family would be any more stupid than he is, and he is in Ravenclaw.

The monkey seems quite popular. Perhaps if I get rid of it, people will stop coming here.

your mother gave you a children's book and a first year stole your socks? what a strange train ride!

that's a cool clock.

I think the only strange part was when certain people clad in nothing but bowties kept running past our compartment.

yeah, that was the weirdest part of my train ride, certainly. but they had underwear on too-- i was unfortunate enough to find that out when Colin came to find Ginny and me. thank goodness for small things like that!

I expect my mum will find some way to blame me for this.

My only consolation is I can't really tell her that she's in Slytherin.

I did warn you about the socks. But did you listen? No. Fools, the lot of you.

She looks so innocent in that picture. Why are you not going to tell her? Won't she find out somehow?

If she had not taken my blue & white striped socks, I would not mind. Those were my favorite. Will I ever get them back?

She tends to do that. It tends to work well for her.

If my mum finds out a month from now, instead of tomorrow, hopefully the relief that we are still alive after not communicating for a month will cancel out any dissappointment.

Not likely. I suppose you could try threatening her.

I do not have the will to threaten. Which means you owe me new socks.
