Applying to grad school is turning out to be much more of a pain in the ass than I anticipated.

God. SGA is seriously like a drug. Every time I quit I think I'm done for good, and every time, a few months later, I'm sidling up to old recs pages again.

Of course, I haven't seen any of Season 5 yet. I gather that it might put a serious damper on my enjoyment.

Well, after work today I drove an hour up to my hometown to vote. Rick drove an hour and a half. We live in New York, so the odds of our state voting Republican are virtually nil, but I still have an absurd sense of achievement.

In the midst of all my frothing, I forgot to mention one happy thing that happened to me this weekend. Siera had a Halloween party, and I went as River Tam (yes, I'm a geek, you can all stop laughing now). Everyone there--including the girl who'd only seen Serenity--got it.

I feel cool.
