atlanta is hot and humid and air conditioning is plentiful. so far, so good.

Tonight is Comedy Night, Mirabeau room, 9 pm. Sounds like it's going to be one hell of a party :)

Does anyone know of any decently-close totally-awesome camping locations? Some sort of river/water is a plus. River rafting would be ideal.

I'm planning farewell festivities for the weekend of July 22nd, this is one idea. For those local folks, consider this advance notice. :)

My brother is headlining Comedy Night at the Mirabeau Room July 5th. It's $5, doors at 8pm, show at 9ish. He's been part of the show (skits, short stand up sets, music, indie short movies, and a headliner) for months now, but this is his first headlining gig. Anybody interested ( Read more... )

Oh, I renamed her to Kaisa. I picked it from "The Subtle Knife", a Harry Potter-ish book that I'm quite fond of. Problem is, I'm not quite sure how it's pronounced. So, uh, I'm thinking seriously about living in Atlanta for five years. Ignoring the white campus for a second, at least the admin lady who showed me around picked me up in a car covered in "Anybody but Bush" type bumper stickers. The city can't be that bad, right? It's only five years. More rationalization to come...
