Low College of Ulterior Motives
So after a 14 years hiatus on a half finished degree, I signed up for 6 credits of college classes this week, barely squeezing in the last day of add/drop. Im taking 2D Animation and Figure Drawing, I went to them 2x this week and theyre OK. I tried to get Electronic Studio (Photoshop) and a HTML/XML/Java classes but they filled up too quick. Ten minutes ago I get a call from the guy who just hired me at this copy shop telling me hes overhired, his longterm employees want more hours and hes cancelling me on the schedule next week, essentially letting me go. Of course I didnt get my old comic warehouse job back so its endless manic copies for me at this copy shop job I guess. The Iranian Mom & Pop owners (yes Iranian, yes Islamic, citizens for 10 years maybe?) are seemingly nice people (though the thick accents are getting old fast) and the rest of the staff all seem competent, friendly and helpful so ( Read more... )
