I had a very enjoyable out-Shabbat at my Rav's house in Talmon. Yes, Abi and Naomi I saw Noa and I told her you guys send her a dash cham-cham-cham and that you (Abi) were planning on calling her during the coming week. Better make good on that promise then, huh?

Well, this morning was the second time this year I woke up at a truly ungodly hour to go on a hike. After three hours of sleep I rolled out of bed at 2 a.m. and got on a bus to the north with most of my midrasha (what's left of them). Well, chicas (and some chicos thrown in), I got my final draft date and it's, well, not quite what I expected. About two months earlier than I expected. I'm getting drafted on the 28th of August. I'm a little dissappointed about this; I was supposed to have a whole extra month of midrasha, not to mention having four months being taken off my army ( Read more... ) -
"I felt such pain"
I had a very different Yom Hasho'a experience this year than all the things I've done before.
It didn't really feel yesterday that today was going to be Yom Hasho'a: we had just gotten back from vacation, settling in for a nice two months - it really didn't feel like anything. But suprisingly, the Israeli's got 25 free tickets to a play in Tel-Aviv ( Read more... ) -

I just had the best of all best times! It was Naomi's birthday and we took her to the beach for a barbecue and a screaming session (if you want to understand go to im_not_natalie's journal and check out her entry for 23/5/05). Not much to say except that I have a newfound respect and adoration for youtube, that I probably should have found more things to do this week and done them and that I drove by myself (no melaveh) last night for the first time! Long live run-on sentences!

After getting into bed last night at 7:30 and not getting out until 13 hours later, I feel considerably better. I'm still sniffling from assorted dust balls but I'm don't look as tired nor do I feel as tired as I did. Oy, the inner politics of a girls' school...
I just finished moving my things from my room downstairs to the room I (finally!) found upstairs. The thing is I didn't really mind where I'd be moving to, it's just that each of my prospective roommates seemed to have problems with my other prospective roommates so they kept switching around. Well, what with the chinuch girls leaving and with the end of zman choref ever looming, there have been a lot of siyumim going around. Yesterday I went with about 15 other girls to one of our melamdot's house and had a siyum for finishing learning all of Nevi'im (from the tanach, y'know...). We're starting Ktuvim after Pesach. I had the best Shabbat-Sunday ever.
We were in kibbutz Kfar Atziyon for Shabbat - were two of the girls in my gar'in live. This was our last Shabbat as a whole gar'in, as the girls going into Cheil Chinuch are going into the army this Monday. It was absolutely freezing cold and very foggy, but at least not as wet as our Efrat Shabbat... Though ( Read more... )
