I just came back from an exam in Tel-Aviv for the army. It could have taken rwo hours, they told me it would take four, IT TOOK SIX AND A HALF! I left this morning at 6:30 and came back at 6:15! But I made a friend there...
I'm going to go eat.

Reading back on the two and half years, plus, that I've been on LJ is really refreshing and not as nostalgic, of the depressing kind, as I thought it would be. Well, I just had a very enjoyable day. I slept in a little this morning because I was up ulast night at a "Poike" (same idea as cholent) birthday party for one of the girls in my gar'in. We had a campfire in th orchard right across from the midrasha and we sang (off-key) roasted marshmallows, ate the Poike and just generally had a grand ol' time ( Read more... ) -

Well, now that I'm over my post-Purim hangover I can tell you what's been happening lately.

Well, I've had a very enjoyable 24 hours, starting with getting my sister a (16th!) birthday present (happy birthday, seesa!) on the way to seeing Keren perform in her dialogue for her drama major. Is it not to be praised and appreciated that I am struck with intense jealousy and greed every time I enter such extensive libraries as I saw at Harav Shuki's house a few Shabbatot ago and at Harav Klitzner's just yesterday? Or is it to be frowned upon and deplored? Is it my fault I yearn for knowledge and therefore for books that represent ( Read more... ) -
Shabbat "Zachor"
I recommend that everyone in the (Jewish) world go to a midrasha or a yeshive that's appropriate for them if only for the experience of Shabbat Zachor. It was undoubtedly the most fun I've had at midrasha since I came here. Wowie.The last 32 hours have been sooooo busy and sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun. It started with yesterday being "Americans day" for us and "Israeli day" for the Americans -we were told to dress up as each other.
