So, I've finally decided to bite the bullet, literally, and start eating better. I've been healthier food for dinner for the past few weeks on account of my husband's Diabetes, but lunch was another story. At work I didn't have many options for healthy food at lunch. Well, I'm close to being done with my physical therapy. I am supposed to have three sessions this week and one next week, then I will be done. So far the only thing it seems to have done is cause me more pain. At least this time around, the therapist asks at every session if I have had any pain, or if any of the exercises she adds are painful ( Read more... )

My husband is starting to adjust to life as a diabetic. Last weekend, he found an elliptical machine (one of the ones that looks like it has a pair of skis on it) that someone threw out at the dumpster by our apartments. This week has been somewhat rough so far, mostly in terms of health matters. My husband was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes on Monday. This doesn't actually come as a huge shock. I'm on vacation this week. I didn't go anywhere, I've just been sitting around doing nothing, which is fine with me. I did some cleaning last night and today. I'm almost done vacuuming and just polished off two loads of laundry. I'm waiting for my last load in the dryer. I didn't have enough quarters to do a fourth load. Still not much going on here (that's starting to sound a bit redundant!). I am actually ahead on Christmas stuff for once in my life. I got my Christmas cards in the mail by last Thurday, and people have started receiving them. That's the first time I got my cards out before December.
