Those of you who know me well, know that one of my food passions is North Carolina Barbecue, Eastern or Goldsboro style. I, among others, consider it one of the great contributions of North Carolina to world cuisine (along with Brunswick Stew.) I just finished a fun read -- Irreconcilable Differences, by our own happy_hacker .  While some might see the novel as falling in the cyberpunk genre, Jim's novel really plays out on a larger stage in an intriguing future history (that I'd like to know a whole lot more about.) Thus far calsea and I are having a wonderful, and very interesting, time in Los Angeles.  There has been good food, interesting people, surprising encounters and a bit of adventure.  The picture below is taken of the moon over Wilshire Canyon Boulevard from The Angelino Hotel.
