They've been through this sort of thing before with Joe. It's necessary to go through this every few months because parents just can't be to careful and when it comes to Joe's health they really can't be to careful. "Maybe." Tony doesn't much care any more about the running joke. He's still got an adrenaline high from the battle and he still wants Pepper more than any thing else. He wants to make sure he's still really alive and that Pepper is here with him now.

"Ouch! Easy." He has some cuts and bruises from the battle. Tony comes back into the kiss though, because no matter the cuts and bumps Pepper is always worth coming home to.
