Selective Service
I just got an email informing me that I need to fill out a selective service recruitment form b/c I'm under the age of 26. As we all know, I don't actually have to do that, but these people are convinced that this is a condition of my future employment. Wow, look--an update!
I have successfully completed my first semester of grad school, even though I did hit a low point for a couple of weeks and thought I'd end up dropping out. My grades: Satisfactory, B+, B, B, and an A in Political Advertising. Woo, I rock! The class that I had such a hard time in was the one in which I ended up getting a B+. Things are going all right.
I know I haven't posted in a long time. I just wanted everyone to know that I'm doing quite well. I feel as if everything is coming together, albeit slowly. I finally got a hard copy of my lab results. My cholesterol is a little high, so I need to start eating more fiber or something. I've been cooking for the majority of my meals now. I've rediscovered the webcomic, "My Life in Blue" by Zan Gullo. If you haven't heard of it, you should look it up. I've been thinking about what makes a good webcomic. Currently, I am reading two- S*P and QC. I think Randy is a better writer than J.J., but J.J. has shown a lot of improvement since he first started. Randy, on the other hand, offers delightful consistency. Bits o randomness
Baren ended up sleeping with us, after all. I opened the bedroom door after shutting down the laptop and brushing my teeth, and there he was, standing right on the other side of the door. Cindy had a feeling he would start whining if we shut him out completely, so I left it open enough for him to be able to nudge the door open, himself.

Moving on the 4th of July
We've finally moved into the new house (kind of). I mean, it's the first night we're sleeping here and we have some stuff moved in, but we still have more stuff that needs to be transported. TG Prison News Revisited
After discussing with my partner, who is a second year law student, I have changed my mind on the issue in favor of Kosilek, mainly for legal reasons. No, I don't find her to be a good poster-child for the trans community, nor do I agree with the actions she took against her wife. However, that is in NO WAY a part of her lawsuit.
