Concert: Joshua Radin & A Fine Frenzy, with Lucy Schwartz (October 25, 2012 @ Mill City Nights)
Last night, October 25, I had the pleasure of seeing Joshua Radin live for the first time. My LJ Drought
I know I haven't posted an update in quite some time. I do have a few things to write about, but with school and life in general, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Heeeeeerrrrreee's Tommy!
As I type this I am sitting in my sister and brother-in-law's apartment, glancing over at my NEW NEPHEW about every ten seconds. I'm proud to report that Thomas Laverne was born at 1:17 PM Pacific Time on July, 22, 2008, weighing in at 7 lbs., 11 oz. and measuring 19 inches long. Independence = Good
A real update entry will come soon, as I realize I haven't done one in a while. For now, though, since it's a holiday, I wanted to do a quick post. Not much going on today, just hanging out as a family. I hope all is well with all of you and you enjoy the holiday weekend.

Music Note
Now that classes are done, I'll post a good update later on today or tomorrow. For now though, I wanted to share a song that I am addicted to lately, "Where I Stood" by Missy Higgins, from her album On a Clear Night. I love everything about this song - the vocal, guitar, piano, and I really can relate to the lyrics.

Quick Note/Epiphany
Wow. How is it that it has taken me so long to realize how much better buying music from Amazon MP3 is compared to iTunes? See the following reasons:
- DRM Free tracks - work with iTunes AND other players
- Some songs are 0.89 as opposed to 0.99 cents
- Download interface is decent (not as flashy as iTunes, but easy enough)
- Did I mention DRM-FREE???

I haven't posted a good update in a while, but I wanted to make this post now. I have three weeks left of classes, and a lot to do in the way of projects, papers, and tests, so I won't have much time to devote to online activities like LJ.
