Well, to continue with my metaphor of this morning, actually working up the guts to cross the river was far more difficult than the actual crossing.

And while, to stretch this metaphor horrifically, I didn't become Imperator, at least I'm the Consul. Or still the general. Or some shit. Fucked if I know, the metaphor's really broken at this point.

Today, I shall either cross that river or forever remain on the bank of it.

Gah, it is hard to come up with NPCs for D&D campaigns. Especially stats. Oh, I do hope that my PCs don't do something ridiculous like attack the NPCs who aren't meant to be attacked.

It's also kind of difficult to think of things for my PCs to be doing.

Bah, oh well. I'll get something accomplished.
