well now that my life is not so hectic for a while, i think i shall start livejournaling again. i had my leg surgery last thursday. the surgery was worse than i expected, but the rcovery has been better. i just had the rod and screw removed from my femur/hip. for some reason i reacted really badly to the anesthetic this time and i kept passing out/ ( Read more... )

i have a new found love. florence. most amazing city in the whole world. i'm convinced. we were there tuesday - thursday this week. it was the best three days of my trip so far. i have no words to describe. thank god for pictures.

on saturday we went to the vatican and the vatican museum again, but this time it was with the school. it was great again, of course even though lou and i had just been there two weeks earlier. but these school tours really suck. they are just so rushed and the teachers never know what to talk aboutor where to go...and then after teh tour was done ( Read more... )

last night i went out for dinner with four other people. one was japanese, one was russian, one was bermudian, one was american, and i was/am canadian.
i thought it was cool.

my parents left yesterday. i was a little sad...but i didn't cry. not surprising. i have concluded that i can never cry about things that happen to me directly, but rather things that happen to other people. i have only full-out cried once here...that's once in three months. and it was about something serious involving someone else. i'm abnormal ( Read more... )

my parents came to italy on friday and loucia and i met them in rome for a really great weekend. we saw everything, and went everywhere, and of course did some shopping...ahh. we also saw cirque de soleil which was amazing. if you ever get the chance, go. i was in awe the entire 2 and a half hours. but it was really good to see our parents. they ( Read more... )
