My internet was down for about half a week, so in a desperate attempt to find something to do, I looked around at old files on my computer. I came across a story I began to write two and a half years ago. It's eerie how similar the story is to my life now.

Sometimes you just gotta think that people are trying to go out of their way to piss you off. Like they have a hat filled with slips of paper which have your pet peeves listed on them. And now that it's the end of the year, they see the hat, look through all the things they haven't done this year to piss you off, so they just do them all at once.

My first day at Northwestern Mutual was definitely exciting for me. I should probably say that it wasn't an "exciting" day so much as I was very excited.
