Hatter Shirt How-To

Here's a tutorial I made of how to do the shirt with iron ons, and if you're interested in getting custom print fabric, use this tile in a half-brick style on a site like FabricOnDemand.
Hopefully this will help some people with their Hatter costumes :)

So I went ahead and did a little photoshop of the pattern on Hatter's shirt. The layout is a little sloppy, but the basic elements are there and they're in the correct layout. Just positional tweaking. I've been doing it as iron-ons, so I wasn't terribly concerned about exact positioning.
If you want the individual elements, just let me know!

I got my SyFy Alice finished! Well, I'd like to get the purple jacket, but that'll have to wait.

So here's some pictures I've got of my boyfriend and I's still-in-progress Hatter & Alice costumes. :)

Things still to complete:
-Paint the design on Hatter's shirt.
-actually use a wig for Hatter this time (I realized too late that the wig we were going to use had been locked up inside my college's costume shop, left over from finals!)

My Alice costume is finished! I conned my friend into being the Ten of Clubs for Dragoncon, so hopefully I'll have some pictures at Dragoncon of me with him.

A bit ago, I posted this. 4 months later and I'm finally getting around to dyeing my Alice dress. (I have the tights and the Fluevog Inge shoes. Yes, the shoes were expeeeeeensive.) We're attempting to use this dye. I should be dyeing it this afternoon, so I'll add pictures of the dye process in this post later ( Read more... )
