Thank you all for your lovely responses to my previous post about separating from my husband. You have no idea how much it means to me. I will respond to each of you soon

Yes, the group has been super-supportive and organized. It's made it so much easier. Still difficult to feel like I've let down my babies, but I'm looking forward to just having my own cats (there are a lot of them anyway), and being actually on top of all the cat-related work.
So many hugs. You do such good work; I'm so sorry that things are coming down all at once. If there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask. And I'm so glad the rescue group is supporting you.
Thank you. It's the sort of thing where "no good deed goes unpunished" and I'm a little overwhelmed with so many changes at once. But maybe it's for the best.
I'm going to be working at Columbia more frequently next semester (need to get a new project started) so hopefully I will be able to see you a bit more often . . .
Do you have a lawyer working on the eviction issues? I'm not licensed any more but maybe I can do some background research or stuff to help your lawyer.
You *will* be very tired when this gets worked through but it'll be good tired of effort and achievement.
Kidding. I want to see you - maybe next week? You can be one of my official "sniffers." We can drink wine and watch Miranda and I can share my insanity. :)

Just think, next time you come over, you'll be able to breathe normally without needing smelling salts. LOL.
