Lately I become increasingly more depressed when buying bridal and baby shower gifts for people I am close to. It's because I want so badly to have a good man in my life and have a baby of my own and the older I get, it seems less and less likely that I'll ever either of those things, let alone both.

I love squirrels. They make me smile because they are so cute and so curious and so full of life and happiness. I am supposed to be closing on the 11th, which is only a week away, but I have until the 15th to close without penalty. I just drove through what I imagine a time warp would look like. Nothing but billowing, blowing fog all the way down to ground level. You could see it moving across the roadway, thick and dense and unforgiving. It was pretty damn scary. I didn't go above 25mph the whole way home. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Heath is eating a poinsettia leaf to debunk the "poinsettias are poisonous" myth. We found that a 50lb child has to eat 50-60 leaves in order for them to have any kind of effect. Also, poinsettia leaves are supposedly "extremely bitter." Myth busted! According to Heath, they're nutty and have a "mouth-coating, walnut-like taste."

Heading to my brother's today for Cut-Throat Brewery's Oktoberfest 2008 -- the first of many, hopefully. Beer, brats, bags, music...what else do we need in life??
