Today, after thinking about it for months, and talking to E and Denise at different times, I decided to register for a pants fitting class up in Oregon. I have been trying to fit pants correctly for myself for years, with markedly less success than I've had with anything for the top part of my torso. Midlife
I feel like a space heater with a broken thermostat! I'll be sitting quietly and all of a sudden the temperature seems to go up! Sucks, man! Oh, well, it's only really annoying when it wakes me up in the middle of the night, could be a lot worse. The joys of womanhood, I suppose. Apparently the nurse that worked on my finger didn't get much of the splinter Tuesday, because today, when I was working on it to get the pus out, I squeezed really hard and this 1/4" piece of wood popped out! Why me?
Fate is sometimes NOT on my side--last week I manage to fight the funk enough to actually work on the woodwork stripping project in Ed's office, only to drive a redwood splinter into my right index finger about 1/2 inch, which, being that I am very right handed, is not a good thing. For lack of a better word, I seem to be in a funk....that is, I'm having trouble doing anything constructive. Not sure why, but it does seem to happen to me periodically, I'll be going along, getting lots done, feeling energetic and peppy, and then I wake up one morning and can't seem to get started. Babysitting
So, yesterday, I took a break from my usual stuff for a few hours and babysat my friend Laura's little girl, who's about 14 or 15 months old. It was fun, but tiring, she's a very active little girl.
