My mind wondered to Computer Aided Detection. This is the hype in screening mammography. A mammogram is imported into the computer and then the happy algorithms are supposed to detect calcium and masses. As it stands now, this tool is adjunctive to review by a radiologist and should NEVER be used as the primary means of breast cancer detection ( Read more... )

This movie looks incredible!!!! NPR reviewed it on Friday and I did my research. Supposedly, this movie is rocking Russia all up and down. Of course, there it is in limited release right now - so that means probably only NYC and LA. Guess pagerbear will have to review it for us. Check out the trailer:

Night Watch

Yesterday was a tribute to the homeland.

Spent some time on the phone with a lovely lass from Trunk, LTD trying to coordinate the exchange of a Harley-Davidson shirt that I bought.
