You have rendered me speechless with your generosity of words. I feel weary just reading Watson's thought processes...well that could be from working third shift and not having slept...I shall mark it down to your wonderful fic and be done with it though.

very nice and well worth the wait!
as usual I might add!

Goodness, three shifts and no sleep = horrendous. I've only done that once and, by the end of the day, I all but collapsed. :) But I am glad you enjoyed the language and the story.

Seriously, thanks for the compliments. I'm currently suffering from some bizarre writing anxiety that's just about paralyzed my muse so the positive feedback's a blessing.

Hey look, angst. Well done. You had Watson in a really screwed up mood the whole time without being OOC. Also, I loved this line: "That man went off to the war and never returned; instead, an exhausted, dependant invalid had slipped back into the London streets and had attempted to regain some of the autonomy he’d once appreciated."

:) A terrific amount of gooey, angsty-angst which smothers and remains perfectly unresolved. I specialize in that but often fix situations simply to satiate my rather rabid and displeased fluff bunny; it demands sweetness in disgusting, heartwarming dollops.

Glad to hear he wasn't too OOC. My brain's been on a depressive fritz ever since I turned in my gradschool applications and has insisted that everything I write is "meh" at best. DARN YOU GRADSCHOOL.

Why didn't you turn something in for the challenge?

And both are extremely pleasant to read, so keep it up. I like the angst bunny and the displeased fluff bunny.

Oh no, brain! Why? Was it just an exhausting process? I assure that it is far above 'meh'.

I'm doing NaNo right now, so that's taking up most of my writing time. (Plus I'm still apprehensive about posting anything as this comm is big and scary.)

Love the story...and this, this is SO Holmes

The Hudson Woman has fallen into a fit of some sort since your departure, enforcing an embargo on all chemicals that may combust, ignite or malign the carpet until the ceiling is repaired. I have since secluded myself to the safety of either a lab or my room in hopes that it will mitigate her otherwise atrocious behaviors. At my request for a treaty, she declared her home a monarchy with she sitting on the throne and I hovering as the lowly servitor. Do come back soon, my dear fellow, or she’ll have me as a prisoner within my chambers.

:) Thanks. Heh. Silly, silly Holmes. Doesn't he know that Mrs. Hudson will win nine times out of ten?
