A question; what vulhkansu dialectal is this? Spock's Maat (Clan) is T'Gai, same Maat as Surak. The phrase is 'we belong', in golic and Shi'Khar ones. Also; the encrypted messages is made of AWESOME! Wa'itaren for a splendid fic!
The way they all misinterpret each other, and kind of speak at cross-purposes for a while is a strong tool for the telling of this story, I think. And what Uhura says seems both right and wrong, because they don't really need a crisis to communicate, but they also seem to have forgotten that collaborating on saving Earth doesn't mean they don't have to get to know one another. It's such a plausible reason for Kirk and Spock to have tension in the first place, and with every new chapter the reason gains more facets, and yet the big picture somehow just becomes clearer.
Just so lovely. I love the characterisations especially - and I love how we see everything through Spock's eyes, but (as we're human) we understand Kirk's side a lot more than Spock does. A truly lovely story to read, slow-building and subtle and very well-written.
I loved this story. Watching the development ok Kirk and Spovk's friendship and relationship was funny at times and also heartbreaking with all of the miscommunication. I truly enjoyed reading this.

Also, the sex scene was *incredible*.
Good job!
