Busyness and a certain ick factor.

Well I rolled towards bed on Wednesday night feeling like utter poo. I now feel about 1,000,000 times better, here's why...

The open space under my skin around the base of my spine, which filled up with fluid and had to be drained at the last operation (in January), had filled with fluid again since Monday and became infected. I was on high dose anti biotics. The pressure from the fluid around my lower back was becoming almost unbarable and I was sitting up in bed and literally crying when the pain killers wore off. Then suddenly the pressure went and the relief was unbelievable. The scar having only just healed was broken open again by the pressure and allowed about 10ml of yuck out. This is a very good thing, as otherwise I could well have been back in hospital, instead it is just another doctors check up. The clean up job was awful. I just thank all the deities who are listening that ukwarwickdood  is such an ace and supportive husband. Losing all that crap from my body has made me feel a zillion times better in myself.

Thursday involved my Mum and Dad coming up for lunch (Brocolli and Stilton soup with fresh sesamae bread and strawberries and cream for pudding), and us going out for the afternoon to nosy at Magna whilst
ukwarwickdood  went to set up for the gig in the evening. I hoped they would have the steamrollers out, but they didn't. So my Dad had nothing to salivate over. Mum brought this giant rainbow coloured expanding / contracting play ball for playschool. It was FAB, but a wopping £75. I WANT ONE!!! I bought some of that "make your own baloons" paste, and either I'm not doing it right, or the stuff is crap. Dead waste of £2.

Mum and Dad dropped me at Kat's and then tootled home. Kat had forgotten I was coming over and was not home from work. So I sat and gossiped with Jethron her bloke until she arrived, and then she had a look at the wedding album that I had bought over for her to look at.

The gig that night was Deadline supporting Danger Danger. I will let
ukwarwickdood fill in most of the details on his LJ. I was working on the door, and ended up as a womancicle. It was fricking freezing out there Mr Bigglesworth! Inside the gig room was warm, but I was not there. I want to credit
bonny666  for the fab work he did on the sound for Deadline, and for later keeping me compamny on the door. A total star! We finally got home after midnight via Maccy D's (with Kris complaining - but sod him we was hungry, and he'd had pringles).

ukwarwickdood left this morning to set out on the rest of the tour.
